PLANS have been unveiled for the redevelopment of a Lichfield garden centre.
The work at The Plant Plot on Stafford Road could see the demolition of an existing structure and the creation of new commercial buildings and parking.
Under the proposals submitted by Green Almond Garden Centres Ltd and planning specialist Holland Lloyd, the scheme would see the garden centre continue trading from the site while also creating “flexible workspaces for start-ups, small and developing companies”.
Ben Rayner, director at Holland Lloyd, said:
“This redevelopment project represents a significant investment in the future of Lichfield’s business community.
“By providing modern, flexible workspaces, the project aims to support local businesses and contribute to the economic prosperity of the area.”
The work would see the current glasshouse structure replaced with modern commercial buildings and improved accessibility.
