A RARE solid gold Rolex is being sold by a Lichfield auctioneer.
Dating back to 1974, the GMT-Master 1675 will go under the hammer with Richard Winterton Auctioneers on 18th August.
The watch was designed with a fourth 24-hour hand to allow pilots and travellers to track two time zones at once, specialists at the auction house said.
Ben Winterton explained:
“This is a luxurious example of a landmark piece of horology. It has a gold coloured 24-hour bezel insert, matte brown dial with nipple dot markers, Mercedes hands and comes complete with a wood-lined Rolex box.”
It will be joined in the sale by a pair of diamond earrings crafted by jewellery designer Andrew Grima.
The boxed 18ct white gold diamond-set floral cluster creations date back to 1983 and have an estimated total diamond weight of 3.60ct.
