A report has backed plans for 80 new homes on land in Fradley.

Developers hope to create housing on land at Bridge Farm Lane.

Fradley and Streethay Parish Council has objected to the proposals, citing issues with the site not being earmarked for housing in the Local District Plan.

There have also been more than 70 letters of objection from local residents.

But a report to Lichfield District Council’s planning committee has recommended councillors give the scheme the green light.

“Matters raised regarding disruption, loss of house value and loss of views, are not material planning matters that can be taken into account in the determination of the application.”

A final decision will be made at the meeting this evening (October 17).
