The key roles have been sworn-in at Burntwood Town Council.
The authority is now under Conservative control of the 22-member council after they secured 16 of the seats, with Labour holding the remaining six.
Newly-elected leader of the council, Cllr Richard Mosson, said: “It’s an honour to have been elected by the residents of Burntwood and a huge privilege to now lead the Town Council.
“These are exciting times -there is much for us to do, and we are keen to get to work immediately.
“We have already secured a commitment from our MP and the leader of Lichfield District Council that they will work closely with Burntwood Town Council to ensure the needs of our residents are properly met”.
The town council is one of the largest parish councils in the country and responsible for areas such as street lighting, community transport, Burntwood Wakes, Burntwood in Bloom and crime prevention initiatives.
Pam Stokes has been named as chair, while newly-elected teenage councillor Beth Fisher becomes vice-chair.
