THE National Memorial Arboretum has been forced to close due to flooding.

The Alrewas venue said the decision had been made due to water on the Croxall Road approach.

It means the arboretum will be shut to visitors today (7th January).

It comes as Staffordshire County Council warned a number of rural roads could face issues due to water running off from nearby fields.
