PEOPLE are being asked to take extra care as work begins to improve pitches at a local rugby club.
Funding from Lichfield District Council is helping Burntwood RUFC to give playing surfaces a refresh over the summer.
But the club is now asking people visiting Chasewater to help ensure the work goes ahead smoothly.
A spokesperson said:
“Please could all visitors be mindful to stay off the pitches for the foreseeable future to allow the grass seed to fully take.
“Pitches have been one of our biggest issues for both training and playing throughout the last few years, so it’s fantastic to be able to maintain them to provide better facilities for our senior and junior sections.
“Please support us by being mindful about unnecessary activity on the pitches.”
