BURNTWOOD Rugby Club has handed over a donation to St Giles Hospice.

Club president Rob Forsyth handed over a cheque for £2,276 to the Whittington-based charity.

A spokesperson said:

“The hospice was the club’s nominated charity for 2023-24.

“The club is proud to have made a contribution based around the March Of the Elephants project which saw Elwood taking part in the art trail during the summer.

“Many thanks to our members and supporters for making donations, and also to our sponsors including The Vintage Liquid Taphouse and The Nelson Inn where a raffle was organised which contributed £1,000 to the overall total.”
