THOSE who suffered and died at the hands of the Nazis during the Holocaust will be remembered in a service at the National Memorial Arboretum.

Holocaust Memorial Day will be marked at the Alrewas venue at 10.50am on 27th January.

A spokesperson said:

“The day encourages people to come together around the nation in remembering those who suffered as a result of Nazi persecution and in the Holocaust, or through subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

“As part of our daily act of remembrance on Holocaust Memorial Day, candle lighting will take place in our Millennium Chapel.”
