AN evening of laughs is coming to the Burntwood Memorial Institute as Manford's Comedy Club stops off in the town.
The event will take place at the Rugeley Road venue on Saturday (26th September).
Roger Monkhouse – who writes for '8 Out of 10 Cats' – will headline the night.
He will be joined on the bill by Chris Stokes and 'Britain's Got Talent' comic JR. The night will be hosted by Susan Murray.
Manford's Comedy Club was set up by comedian Jason Manford and has taken live shows to more than 70 venues across the country.
Paul Taylor, Chair of the Burntwood Memorial Community Association, said:
"You don't have to head into Birmingham to see good live comedy – on Saturday, four acts who play clubs and festivals around the country will be on stage just down the road.
"The bar will be open, so it's an easy night out with friends.
"The Institute is run entirely by volunteers, and every ticket sold helps keep the building open for the community groups who use it every week."
