Young entrepreneurs from across the region are visiting the Lichfield Garrick to compete for a top title.
Students from King Edward VI School will be among those representing the city at the Young Enterprise awards.
As part of the project, the pupils have created and registered their own company called Buckets of Fun. The business has launced its product – Young Rootz – a gardening kit for children.
The students’ work will be on display, alongside the projects of the six other Lichfield and Tamworth schools they are competing against, at the Enterprise Fair trade show, which is being held at the Lichfield Garrick on February 12.

“We’re delighted to once again be hosting the Enterprise Fair, and welcome everyone to come along and browse the students’ work, and even pick up a bargain.
“Young Enterprise is a great opportunity for young people to get a taste of what it’s like to run a business in the real world, and we’re thrilled to be supporting Buckets of Fun. The group has worked really hard to create an innovative product, and it will be interesting to see their competition!”
Each team of young entrepreneurs will get the chance to demonstrate their business to trade fair goers and a panel of judges. A mystery shopper will visit each of the stalls, and give out a customer service award on the day. However, the judges’ final results will be kept under wraps until the Lichfield and Tamworth Young Enterprise Final at Drayton Manor in April.
Entrance to the Enterprise Fair is free and the event runs from 10am to 4pm.
