After weeks of rain, the arrival of a giant whale in Lichfield may not come as such a surprise – but this will be an underwater adventure with a difference.
Talking Birds Theatre Company will be bringing their acclaimed silver Whale to Three Spires Shopping Centre today (July 14) as part of the 2012 Lichfield Festival.
This interactive theatre show will give children aged six and over a three-minute experience inside the jaws of the giant silver whale where they will be serenaded by a lovesick submariner and leave with a gift from the sea.
The Whale was first seen outside Coventry Cathedral and has since visited The National Theatre, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Dartmouth Regatta, Birmingham Artsfest, Warwick Arts Centre and many more with over 5,000 people swallowed up to date.
The whale will be in the Three Spires Shopping Centre from 11am to 5pm and entrance is £2. The whale is wheelchair accessible.
