Three teenage boys have been arrested after a man was assaulted and robbed in Lichfield.

Police and paramedics were called to a property off Stowe Road at 5pm on 26th May after reporters of violence.

The victim – a man in his 40s – reported being assaulted by three teenage youths and having his mobile phone stolen.

He sustained arm, facial and leg injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Two boys, aged 16 and 15, were both arrested on suspicion of robbery. A 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and wounding with intent.

All three have since been released on conditional police bail pending further inquiries.
