THE chair of Burntwood Town Council says she hopes community spirit will help people to navigate future challenges.
Cllr Kathy Coe MBE made her comments in a newsletter to local residents.
In it, she wished residents well for 2025 and said she hoped the way people came together in recent years could be replicated going forward.
“It has been a strange few years recently – and if we go back a while we all saw how our community came together to support each other during the pandemic.
“It was inspiring to see just how much we can change our community when we choose to, and I hope that we can grow that spirit again during challenges like the ongoing cost of living crisis and the extreme weather conditions that we have experienced.
“This is a new year and a new start – and a new opportunity to make life better for each other.
“We know that some difficulties stay with us but if we support each other we can manage this year together.”
