The Urban Folk Quartet will be joined by Lichfield’s very own Wildfire Folk at a concert in the city.

The Lichfield Guildhall will host the quartet that has its roots in the vibrant fusion of Birmingham Conservatoire.

Made up of well known fiddle player Joe Broughton, acclaimed Spanish fiddle player Paloma Trigas, Frank Moon on guitar/uud and Tom Chapman on cajon drum and percussion, the group have created a real name for themselves on the national and international folk scene.

Supporting them on March 27 will be Lichfield’s Wildfire Ensemble who are rapidly becoming favourites locally and on the festival scene, with theirexciting roots music.

Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said:

“The Urban Folk Quartet made a great impact on their first appearance at the Guildhall. Add the Wildfire Folk ensemble and this will be a superb evening of joyous evening of music and humour.”

The concert starts at 7.30pm on March 27 and tickets can be booked by calling 01543 262223 or visiting www.lichfieldarts.org.uk.
