Burntwood RUFC’s development squad returned from Warley 2nds with a 64-14 win.
It proved to be a memorable debut for Ben Tranter who ran in a hat-trick of tries. His feat was matched by Ollie Gripton with the other tries shared around including one for Matt Lee. Mike Whittingham added the conversions to make up the tally.
The side enjoyed a storming first half before easing off to allow the hosts to score their points in the second half but they raised their game again to finish strongly.
