Drivers are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of catalytic converter thefts in Lichfield and Burntwood.
Staffordshire Police say a number of similar crimes have also been recorded across the county in recent weeks.
One incident in Lichfield saw two Vauxhalls have their catalytic converters taken at a car dealership on Eastern Avenue at some point between between 18th April and 28th April.
Meanwhile, six catalytic converters were also stolen from Cinder Road, near Burntwood Business Park, in the early hours of 28th April after six white Renault low-loader vans were targeted.
Chief Inspector David Wain, from Staffordshire Police, said:
“These criminals have a significant impact on members of the public and local businesses across the region.”
