WHITTINGTON batted their way to a draw when they faced off against Fordhouses 2nds at home.
After being sent into the field first by the visitors, the hosts made a bright start with just one on the scoreboard when Abdulwali Safi bowled Sidharth Mathew.
Things looked to be going well for Whittington as they reduced Fordhouses to 93-4, but a fine 110 from Joe Thorn helped his side reach 238-7 at the close of the innings.
Whittington's response with the bat was similarly paced to the visitors, reaching 98-4 before Martin Weston's unbeaten 106 from 89 balls allowed them to reach 230-7 at the close of the 50 overs.
