Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered facial injuries in a road rage incident near Lichfield.

The incident happened in a lay-by on the A38 near Bassetts Pole just after 5.30am on 19th October.

It followed a crash involving a black Audi A4 and a black Vauxhall Insignia.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

“Shortly after, both drivers were involved in a physical altercation with each other. 

“A man in his 20s suffered minor facial injuries and went to hospital for precautionary checks. 

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time to find out more about what happened, in particular those who might have dashcam footage that could help us.”
