FAMILY favourite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is flying in for a run at the Lichfield Garrick.
Brownhills Musical Theatre Company will bring the production to the city stage from 5th to 9th May.
The high-flying adventure follows eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, whose inventive spirit leads him and his children Jeremy and Jemima on an extraordinary journey.
When they rescue an old race car from the scrapyard, work begins to transform it into the magnificent Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The company will bring two teams of young performers to the stage during the run – and are hoping the show can inspire more talented children to consider taking to the stage in future productions.
Director Kelly Tye said:
“This show is pure magic for audiences of all ages, but what makes it truly special is the incredible young talent we have involved.
“They have brought so much energy, commitment and joy to rehearsals, and we’re really proud to be giving them the opportunity to shine on stage.
“We hope it inspires other young people locally to get involved in theatre and experience that same excitement.”
