Lichfield embroidery shop reopens

Lichfield Needlecraft Centre

Lichfield Needlecraft Centre

Embroidery fans will be pleased to hear that a new store catering for their needs has opened in Lichfield.

Lichfield Needlecraft Centre closed in March, but the Tamworth Street shop has now reopened under new ownership.

Shopper Marie Gouge told The Lichfield Blog:

“It’s great to have the Needlecraft Centre open again. There are so few places where you can get needlecraft supplies in this area. The ladies that work there are so friendly and incredibly helpful. Between them they have knowledge of many different fibre crafts and they are always more than happy to help and advise customers.

“I’ve been going to their knitting and crochet club for almost two years now and I’ve made such great friends there including the staff.  They are planning to hold weekly workshops following the re-opening which I can’t wait to find out more about and attend!”

A volunteer wrote this. Say thanks with a coffee.

Glad to hear it! We dont buy much, but always buy ribbons (for bookbinding) and material from here whenever we visit from London. I like the service.

I please that the shop will be reopening. There is no where else locally that sells haberdashery.

Thank you all for your positive comments regarding the sewing shop. We’ve had a wonderful response from both new and existing customers to the new shop and we’re really looking forward to the time ahead. There are lots of ideas in the pipeline, and you may be interested to know that we’re now offering workshops on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Check the website for details.

If you have any suggestions, comments or criticism that you wish to share, please do get in touch or better still, come and visit us in Lichfield, we’d love to meet you.

so pleased to know that there are still a few shops devoted to one of my favourite crafts. The papercrafting craze seems to have taken over at the moment, but these things go in cycles, and needlework will be back in fashion again. looking forward to visiting you again soon. best wishes to you, Janis
