Chasetown FC will have to overcome Kidsgrove Athletic if they are to repeat their FA Cup heroics of recent times. Charlie Blakemore’s men will take on their Staffordshire rivals in the First Qualifying Round of the competition on September 11. Kidsgrove got the better of Chasetown in a pre-season clash, while a last minute strike from Grant Ryan saw them secure a 1-1 draw and second place in the league at the end of last season. But before they switch their attentions to cup football, the Scholars face a home league clash against Kendal Town on Saturday (September 4), kick-off 3pm, and a trip to early season pace-setters Ashton United on Monday, kick-off 7.45pm.
