Money stolen as gang armed with crowbars rob Fradley shop

A “significant” amount of cash has been stolen during a robbery in Fradley.

Four men armed with crowbars entered the Co-op on Common Lane at 6.05am this morning (June 26) and ushered staff into a store room before leaving with the money in a white Audi A3 with tinted windows.

The offenders are described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. It is believed a fifth suspect was waiting outside in the car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Graham Tomlinson at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 77 of June 26. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
