THE stretch of the A5 at Wall will be targeted as part of a campaign aiming to reduce motorcycle casualties.
The Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) has announced the stretch as one of its Ride it Right locations.
It will see yellow 'Think Bike' signs introduced alongside messaging asking drivers to be more aware of bikers and riders to take additional care.
The route was identified as being high risk based on data relating to incidents involving motorcycles.
Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams, chair of the SSRP, said:
"Since the scheme was introduced in 2006, the Ride it Right routes have seen a 36% reduction in motorcycle casualties on those stretches of road with yellow signs, which outweighs the reduction seen on other roads in the county.
"Although the scheme is aimed at bikers and car drivers, all road users can help to reduce motorcycle casualties.
"If you see the signs while you’re driving, please take extra care on these routes and keep yourself and others safe."
