ALREWAS suffered disappointment as they suffered a two-wicket home defeat against Swarkestone.
The Herons were sent in to bat first but soon found themselves in trouble on 22-4.
But a 34 from Ben Foley and a 15 from William Hodgkinson helped steady the ship as they eventually reached 118-8 in their 21 overs.
Swarkestone’s response got off to a strong start as they reached 90-5 before a middle order wobble gave Alrewas hope, but it wasn’t enough as they passed the target with two wickets in hand.
Foley was the pick of the home bowlers as he finished with figures of 4-30.
