Appeal after conmen take £200 from 72-year-old man in Burntwood

Conmen have stolen £200 from an OAP in Burntwood.

The tricksters approached a 72-year-old man outside the HSBC bank at Sankey’s Corner in Chase Terrace on November 3 at around 1.20pm and asked for change. However, he later discovered that £200 was missing from his wallet.

The conmen are also believed to have taken £10 from a woman using the same method at the Co-op at Swan Island just an hour earlier.

The offenders are described as having Eastern European accents. One of them had a beige-coloured coat and was heavily built with dark hair and glasses. The other was thin with black hair.
