Green-fingered residents are being urged to sign up for a competition after the local council revealed the number of entries were down this year.
The closing date for the annual Burntwood in Bloom contest is on July 2.
But organisers Burntwood Town Council admitted more people needed to take part.
“Entries for this year’s Burntwood in Bloom competition are down on previous years,” a spokesperson said. “We would like to encourage lots of people – residents, schools and nurseries, pubs and clubs, local organisations and businesses – to enter.
“We know there are many beautiful gardens, hanging baskets and troughs in the town and we really want to encourage as many people as possible to take part.
“There are prizes and trophies to be won so why not give it a go?”
Entry forms can be downloaded from the town council website.
