Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted as they walked home from a night out in Lichfield.
The men, both aged in their 30s, were in Cathedral Walk when they were set upon by a group of teenagers at around 12.45am on October 16.
The pair suffered facial injuries and were treated at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield before being released.
The offenders, who headed towards Lichfield city centre following the attack, were described as white, a mixture of males and females, aged between 14 and 17. One of them was wearing a blue top.
Inspector Jed White, Lichfield Local Policing Team Commander, said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack on a pair of friends who were returning from a night out.
“We treat all incidents of violence and anti-social behaviour very seriously and want to speak witnesses who saw the youths congregating in Cathedral Walk before the incident or knows who they might be.”
