They were recovered from an address in Stafford and include a boxed Kindle e-reader, a large altar bible, two display boxes carrying spoons and a box containing knives and forks.

“We would like to trace the owners of these items and hand back property which is rightfully theirs,” said DC Helen Cooper.

“I would encourage people who own such property to check their belongings to make sure they are still in situ. If not, there is a chance this property could be yours and you have not realised it is missing.”

A 25-year-old woman from Stafford was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and was released on bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone who thinks any of the items are theirs is asked to contact DC Cooper at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 641 of 8 April.
