LICHFIELD made it back-to-back wins with a three-wicket triumph at Penn.
The city men opted to bowl first and made quick inroads against the home line-up as Bilal Hussain and Gurprabhjodh Singh Gill were both removed by Edward Turner after scoring one and zero respectively to leave the score on 8-2 inside four overs.
Imran Bashir was bowled by Thomas Clarke after scoring 16 as Lichfield looked to turn the screw.
When Oliver Caddick caught Karamjot Singh off the bowling of Harry Turley-Salmons to leave the hosts on 53-4, things looked to be going swimmingly for the visitors.
But a defiant 43 from Nikhil Jassal helped add vital runs to the tally, while the tail also dug in to eventually get the total to 164 before Lichfield bowled them out.
Turner was the pick of the city bowlers as he finished with 4-60, while Clarke also enjoyed figures of 3-38.
Lichfield pushed home their advantage with the bat, reaching 79 before Adam Braddock became the first wicket to fall after making a half-century.
But more soon followed him back to the pavilion as Lichfield fell to 96-3.
Partnerships were proving difficult to come by as a succession of players came and went. However, it was too little, too late for Penn as Lichfield passed the total with three wickets in hand.
