A charity music festival near Lichfield is set to return for its fifth year.
The Heart Fest event takes place at Catholme on August 26 and 27.
Max Raptor and a special guest band will open the event on Friday at 7.30pm, with gates opening at 1pm the following day for a family featuring live music, Barton’s Got Talent and children’s entertainment.
Bands set to appear include Tilted Smile, Fantastic 4, 4 Car Pile Up, Green Fortune, Maloik and The Cloth giving a mixture of Rock, Folk, Blues and Acoustic.
The festival will offer food in the shape of a Packington Pork hog roast and BBQ, afternoon tea, locally brewed Freedom Lager as well as local ale and cider. An auction and raffle will offer prizes including flights for two to Tokyo, Christian Laboutin goods, a private flight locally for three people and golf goodies.
A spokesperson said:
“Every penny from the festival will be split between The British Heart Foundation and Rainbows Childrens Hospice, with the bands playing for free.”
Tickets are available on the door for Friday night at £5. On Saturday, entry is free from 1pm until 6pm, with tickets (£10) for the evening entertainment available from www.freedomheartfest.org. Tents can be pitched for £5 payable on the door – visit the website for full details and directions.
