A John Thompson strike wasn’t enough to earn any rewards for Barton United as they went down 2-1 at Barnt Green Spartak.
The 2-1 result meant that the hosts went back to the summit of the Midland Combination Division Two, while Barton find themselves in eighth place with 14 points from their opening nine games.
United will be back in action next Saturday (October 13) as they entertain Henley Forest.
