Cameron Homes donated £100 as a raffle prize to Henry Chadwick Primary School in Hill Ridware.

Kate Allman, from the school’s parents and friends association, said it helped the school break its fundraising record.

“It was an extremely successful event and the weather was certainly on our side with lots of sunshine,” she said.

“A total of £2,743.94 was raised for the school – the most that we have ever collected during a summer fayre – and therefore we are all delighted with the result.”

The money will go towards a new climbing frame for the school’s infant climbing frame.
