Burntwood racing driver James Tucker is continuing to spread his racing wings by confirming his drive with the JTR team in the next round of the MSA Formula Ford Championship.

Tucker will get behind the wheel in the French-made Mygale chassis used by the team when they travel to Rockingham – a change from the British-built Van Diemen body he has previously been driving.

The switch is part of a plan by the rookie driver to learn more about the cars he’ll be facing in the coming seasons.

He explained:

“I believe changing chassis and team maybe enough of a change to put me back in the fight for podiums. As mentally I had fallen into a bit of a rut in the last rounds and a change is as good as a rest. So I am very excited to get out in a different car, after the great test I had last week, leaving me only two tenths off the championship leader.”
