Burntwood RUFC 2nds were swept aside in the first half of their Merit Table match at home to Stoke Development XV to leave them trailing 32-3.
They rallied defensively in the second period and managed to share the spoils with a converted try each but the damage had already been done.
Steve Blockley kicked a penalty in the first half and then converted a try by Dan Thornton midway into the second period.
