Burntwood 3rds enjoyed the proverbial game of two halves as a strong wind took centre stage in their home win against Stafford 3rds.
Despite playing against the elements in the first half, Burntwood had the majority of the possession but succumbed to two breakaway tries, both converted.
However, they managed one of their own in reply. Craig Addy dotted down in the corner and the outside half limited the damage even further by kicking two penalty goals to leave his side only 14-11 behind at the break.
In the second half it was a different story with two tries for Pete Reynolds, one for Rob England and a penalty try. Addy kicked three conversions while the visitors added one converted try to their tally.
