Burntwood RUFC U14s played their first home fixture of 2011 against a new Uttoxeter side comprised of U14s and U13s.
The visitors were up against it from the start. They tried hard but couldn’t prevent a confident home side scoring ten tries in a 54-0 win.
Recent recruit Tom Brewer continues to improve, crossing the line for two tries and Luke Yeoman Smith and Oliver Cowmeadow signalled their returns to form with a try apiece following injuries.
Further tries came from Jack Foden (2), Ryan Allwood (plus 2 conversions), Sean Latham, Callum Heath and Dan Pratt. Although he didn’t score, Callum Smith impressed, carrying the ball with increasing confidence.
