A BURNTWOOD school is celebrating after getting top marks in a national careers scheme.
Holly Grove Primary Academy received the Primary Futures Gold Award.
The initiative recognises schools that are committed to raising aspirations and inspiring children to think ambitiously about their futures through careers‑based learning.
Headteacher Dawn O’Hare said:
“We are very proud to receive recognition of our work in promoting primary careers by receiving the Gold Award.
“The children have loved hearing about the different career paths open to them, and it has inspired them to think about how school can help them achieve these goals.”
The school will be holding another Future Aspirations Week, starting on 18th May, where pupils will meet professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, helping to broaden horizons and spark curiosity about future opportunities.
Locals are being asked to consider volunteering an hour of their time to talk to pupils about their job and career journey.
