LICHFIELD District Council has confirmed a by-election will take place for the vacant Alrewas and Fradley seat.
The vote will take place on 24th July following the resignation of the local authority’s former leader Mike Wilcox for “personal reasons”.
He had most recently been an independent representative having resigned from the Conservatives.
The deadline for people to vote for postal votes is 5pm on 9th July.
The new councillor will represent the Alrewas and Fradley ward alongside current elected members Cllr Derick Cross and Cllr Sonia Wilcox.
