A CELEBRATION of Congolese dance music is coming to Lichfield.
Kasai Masai will perform at The Hub at St Mary’s on 20th July.
Their Lichfield Festival appearance will see the superstars of Soukous – a style of music from Congo – showcase the country’s cultural diversity.
A spokesperson said:
“Influenced by sounds that have been passed through generations, their original compositions move well beyond traditional Congolese music by introducing galloping rhythms, strong melodies, passionate beats, swinging guitars and moving saxophone.”
