Performing arts groups in Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to take part in a major community theatre event next year.
Lichfield Mysteries are looking for performing groups from schools, churches, dramatic societies or groups of friends to take part in the 2012 event.
The Mysteries, performed every three years on Market Square and in the Cathedral, usually have up to 1,000 people taking part.
Groups will benefit from the expertise of a professional team leading the production and be able to participate in workshops in the run-up to the event on May 6 and 7, 2012.
The 27 plays, penned for Lichfield by Robert Leach, have this year been edited to tighten up the overall length of the production and to enable individual groups to include music or dancing if they wish.
