A series of rural consultation exhibitions are being carried out across Lichfield district to give residents the chance to have a say on the future of their communities.
A number of people have already given their views at the first event held by Lichfield District Councilat the Alrewas Show in July.
The next exhibition will be at the Mile Oak and Fazeley Festival at Mile Oak Recreation Ground on August 21 from 12 noon to 4pm.
Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said:
“It’s important that local people help to shape plans for future development in the district. That’s why we are holding these rural exhibitions, and hope lots of people give us their views on issues such as housing, employment, access to services and more.”
More exhibitions will follow in Armitage with Handsacre, Little Aston, Shenstone and Whittington.
To encourage people to give their views, the council is running a prize draw and everyone who lives or works in these rural areas who takes part will be entered into a draw for the chance to win £25 shopping vouchers. There will also be goodies on offer for children with a family ticket to the Lichfield Garrick’s festive production of Peter Pan up for grabs as well.
