A charity supporting people who are deaf are looking for volunteers to support their work.

The appeal from RNID comes ahead of Volunteers Week, which runs from 1st to 7th June.

Work carried out by those who give up their time for the charity includes providing information to local organisations, helping people use their hearing aids or welcoming people to local support sessions.

Jackie White, RNID director, said:

“Many of our volunteers have hearing loss themselves or in their family, and volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people, gain new skills and experience, try something new and help people in your community.”

Jackie White, RNID
