Chasetown made it two wins in two league games after beating Leek Town 2-1.

Goals from Levi Rowley and Jack Langston gave The Scholars the advantage before a late Oliver Harrison strike pulled one back for the visitors.

The action started at a slow pace with Jayden Campbell’s 14th minute shot straight at the keeper.

James Wren was forced to palm over a shot from Leek’s Thomas Carr on 35 minutes.

The first half was overshadowed by a clash of heads that left Oli Hayward and Louis Keenan returning to the field donning bandages.

Chasetown were gifted the lead in the 50th minute when visiting keeper Joseph O’Shaughnessy misjudged a bounce allowing Rowley to tap in.

It was 2-0 five minutes later when Langston smashed home a Jordan Evans cross via a deflection.

Leek got themselves back into it on the 88th minute when Oliver Harrison got on the end of a cross to tap home but it was too little to late.
