Chasetown FC have appointed a Burntwood businessman as the club’s new president.

Chasetown FC have appointed a Burntwood businessman as the club’s new president.

Noel Sweeney, from Chasetown Civil Engineering, has been a regular supporter of The Scholars.

A club spokesperson said: “Noel is a well-known local businessman, an avid supporter of the club, and a true football fan.

“There are numerous things around the ground that Noel has done or contributed to over the seasons.

“His commitment to the club sits alongside other local businessmen, Steve Jones of Crown Highways and Nigel Tilsley of Bridgetown Doors, for which the chairman, Mike Joiner, wishes to thank them for their continued support.”
