CHASETOWN came out on top in their pre-season clash with Stourbridge.
The Scholars found themselves under early pressure in front of their home crowd, with Stourbridge getting themselves in front on 12 minutes when Curtis Pond made a fine save but could do nothing to prevent the follow-up from Charlie Pavey finding the net.
The hosts swung the momentum back in their favour on 20 minutes though with an equaliser from Kyle Moseley.
The Chasetown man then repeated the trick ten minutes from half-time with a fine finish from distance.
Stourbridge tried to find a leveller of their own in the dying moments of the first half, but saw an effort go wide of the target. The Scholars started the second half brightly with Takura Sambizi seeing his effort kept out by the visiting keeper.
The away side were still on the hunt for an equaliser though, with a free-kick on the hour mark going wide.
But it was Chasetown who had the final say five minutes from the end when a well-worked move saw Sambizi apply a neat finish to slot home his side's third.
