CHASETOWN preserved their winning pre-season run with a victory over Anstey Nomads.
The Scholars have won all of their friendly clashes so far and got themselves on track to keep it up when Alex Bradley slotted home after a delivery by Jack Langston in the first half.
The visitors had a chance to equalise in the second half though after they were awarded a penalty – but Curtis Pond in the home goal guessed correctly to keep out the spot kick and earn the win for Chasetown.
Mark Swann’s men will continue their pre-season schedule on Tuesday (29th July) when they host Belper Town.
