PLANS for four new homes to be built on land at Pipehill have been refused.

The proposals had been submitted to Lichfield District Council for the plot at the rear of Boythorpe and Wyndfield on Walsall Road.

But planning officers said the scheme could not go ahead as the land was “not considered to fall within the definition of grey belt”.

A decision notice added:

“The site lies outside of any defined settlement boundary and is located within an unsustainable location.

“The proposed development would result in unjustified encroachment into the countryside and would fail to provide suitable access to services, facilities and sustainable transport options.”

Full details can be found on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
