Councillors in Lichfield and Burntwood have pledged their commitment to residents at a service in Lichfield Cathedral.

Councillors in Lichfield and Burntwood have pledged their commitment to residents at a service in Lichfield Cathedral.

The civic service saw the authority’s chairman, Cllr Norma Bacon, invite parish, district and county councillors to acknowledge their responsibility to the community and pledge to serve of the people of the area.

“It has been a great honour to lead my fellow councillors in the Act of Commitment,” said Cllr Bacon. “I would like to thank Lichfield Cathedral for a beautiful service and everyone who made the day so special.”

After the service, guests joined the chairman for lunch at St Mary’s in the Market Square.
