MORE local schools and colleges are benefiting from "high-quality" support with Personal Social Health Economic (PSHE) education support, according to a new county review.
The Pan-Staffordshire PSHE Education Service's latest annual Impact Report highlights a year of growth in engagement, expanded training for education providers, and strengthened partnership work to help children and young people.
Figures reveal a 77% increase in the number of school visits delivered and additional funding secured to develop specialist resources, including those for SEND settings.
Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams said:
"High-quality PSHE education plays a role in helping children and young people stay safe, healthy and resilient.
"This report demonstrates the significant impact the Pan-Staffordshire PSHE Education Service is having by supporting education settings with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to address some of the most important issues facing young people today."
The PSHE Education Service is part of Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services.

"We are immensely proud of the work delivered by our two local PSHE coordinators over the past five years.
"Their dedication and expertise have enabled the service to support an increasing number of schools and educational settings, helping to strengthen the quality and consistency of PSHE provision across the city and county.
"This has been especially valuable with changes to relationships, sex and health education requirements for schools starting this month.
"What is particularly encouraging about this report is the clear evidence of the positive and tangible impact being achieved. It demonstrates how this work is making a real difference to children and young people, educators, and communities alike."
