Crackdown sees alcohol seized from under-age drinkers in Burntwood

More than 60 bottles and cans of alcohol have been seized from under-age drinkers in Chasetown in just one night.

The drinks were confiscated as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the area on May 24.

Police revealed the volume of items seized from school leavers during the operation:

  • 32 cans of Carlsberg
  • Six bottles of Foster Gold
  • Three one litre bottles of alco pops
  • 16 bottles of Budweiser
  • One can of Strongbow
  • Six bottles of Kopperberg

PCSO Jenna Gibbons said: “Staffordshire Police takes all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and work with our partners to ensure that when issues are highlighted we work together to resolve them to everybody’s satisfaction as quickly as we can.

“Anyone with concerns about ASB should contact Staffordshire Police on 101.”
